Hello everyone!
I would like to thank the creators of this script because it is a great plugin that keeps things simple and professional in Live and at the same time makes it ultra easy.
In this video, I want to talk about a script that you can use Ableton Live more effectively and easily. If you remember, I talked about it superficially in the previous video called workflow and methods in music. Now we will take a look at my favourite functions.
You can download it for free for Win or Mac from the website. I left the link in the description section. After installing it, click on the little icon and you will see two different configuration options. Now let's take a look at its features.
1 - Adding Devices
When you right click twice, you can call Live devices or other 3rd party plugins.
We add devices like this:
When you click Configure Menu, we make some simple edits in the txt document that opens.
Main header with /
With subheadings //
We can categorise it. Then we write the name of the thing you want to call and underneath we enter the name as it is registered in the list and boom!
2 - Closing Plugin Windows
Especially if you are going to do sound design, it means a lot of plugin windows will open. Of course they thought of this too. When you do CMD (ctrl for windows) + OPT (alt) + W, all windows are closed suddenly, the page is cleared.
3 - Coloring Tracks
Colouring makes it especially easy to keep things tidy while working or to direct your emotions as synesthesia. When you press OPT (Alt) + C on the track you want to colour, the whole track is coloured the same colour.
4 - Quick Delete
If there is no direct delete key on the keyboard, you can do this by pressing 0 twice.
5 - VST Shortcuts
Keys 1-4 allow you to quickly switch to the ‘OSC’, ‘FX’, ‘Matrix’, ‘Global’ tabs in xFer Serum.
6 - Saving New Versions
CMD (ctrl) + OPT (alt) + S
7 - InsertWhere Device
Thanks to electronic music producer MatZo. It's a Max For Live plugin that helps you put your chosen device or plugin in the effects chain. All you have to do is assign it to the master channel. As you can see, END is the default setting, which is to add it to the end every time. RIGHT adds to the right of the selected device and LEFT adds to the left of the selected device. Actually, there is only one problem with this device, you can forget where it was left last time, so you cannot operate without looking back to the master channel.
8 - Project Time
Project Time is a detail that shows how long you have used the software.
